Implementation considerations
Considerations: Bicultural supports are not provided for individual children. They are to enhance educator capability and strengthen the learning program to respond to the educational needs of children across the kindergarten cohort. Supports should be provided in accordance with the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline (QKLG).
Backfill: Services should consider the cost of providing backfill if required to allow educators to undertake coaching and training.
Contacts: Services can contact local networks and community leaders to source suitable providers appropriate to the local area, families and community.
